Basic examples of sampling
Sampling your voice from a mic, and
playing it back as a one-shot sample
Inthisexample,we’lluseamicconnectedtoAUDIO
INPUT1tosampleyourvoice.
Connect a mic
1. ConnectamictotherearpanelAUDIOINPUT1
jack.
2. PresstheAUDIOINPUTMIC/LINEswitchsothat
it’sintheMIC(outward)position,andsetthe
LEVELknobnearthecenter.

Sampling Setup
1. GototheSamplingP0:Recording–AudioInput
page.
PresstheSAMPLINGbuttontoenterSampling
mode.MakesurethattheSamplingP0:Recording
pageisdisplayed.
Ifitisnot,presstheEXITswitch,andthenpressthe
AudioInputtab.
2. Choosethemenucommand“AutoSampling
Setup.”
Adialogboxwillappear.Au
toSamplingSetup
automaticallysetsmanyoftheparameters
necessaryforsampling.Youcanusethesesettings
asaguidelinewhensampling.
3. Select“RECAudioInput.”
Thiswillmakesettingsforsamplinganexternal
audiosource.
4. Set“SourceAudio”toAudioInput1/2.
Thismeansthatyou’llbesamplingtheinstrument
orotherexternalaudioinputsourceconnectedto
AUDIOINPUT1and2.
5. TotherightofSourceAudio,selectMonoL.
Withthissetting,theinputfromtheINPUT1jack
willbesenttotheinternalLchannelandsampled
monaurally.
6. Forthe“Saveto”field,selectRAM.
Thesamp
leddatawillbewrittenintoRAM
memory.
7. Turn“IFX”Off.
Youwillbesamplingwithoutapplyinganinsert
effect.
8. PresstheOKbuttontoexecutethecommand.
Youhavenowmadethesettingsnecessaryfor
sampling.
Note:Takealookatthesettingsthathavebeenmade.

respectively,andinputlevelssetto127.
