BIOS Configuration
The volume level may be too low. Click on the Speaker icon located on the right of
your Windows taskbar. When the volume control box appears, drag the volume bar
upward.
The speakers are not properly connected.
Make sure that the speakers are properly connected to the computer.
Floppy Disk Drive
Cause Solution
Floppy disk drive Disk is incorrectly inserted.
light stays on Remove the disk and reinsert it.
Disk is damaged.
Use another disk or check the disk by running ScanDisk. (For detail information,
refer to your Windows 98 manual.)
Floppy disk drive Disk is unformatted.
can’t write to a Format the disk (Refer to your Windows Help in Windows 98. To
open Windows
disk Help, click the Start button, and then click Help.)
Disk is write-protected.
Remove the write-protection or use another disk that is not
write-protected. To remove write-protection from a disk, slide the small black tab on
the back of the disk to cover the hole.
