The Ethernet interface is based on a PCI device
from Intel; the Ethernet Controller 82559ERS.
The main features of the Ethernet are as follows:
• integrated IEEE 802.3 10Base T and 100Base TX compatible PHY
• glueless 32-bit PCI master interface
• compatible with driver software of the 82558 and 82557
• full duplex support at both 10 and 100 Mbps
• IEEE 802.3u Auto-Negotiation support
• 4 kB transmit and 3 kB receive FIFO’s
2.5.2.1 Ethernet Connector CON8 Pinout
The connector used for the 100BaseTX Ethernet interface is an RJ45 connector.
