Vaseline Spray

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Pure Vaseline spray used as lubricant and anti-corrosion product.

2. FEATURES

KONTAKT 701 contains pure, white, pasty Vaseline (paraffin oil which hardens to a pasty

consistency at room temperature). The product combines the excellent lubricating and anti-

corrosion properties of Vaseline with the easy use of an aerosol can : clean and firm handling

and storage, mobile and easy, precise dosage.

KONTAKT 701 is compatible with most materials including metal, rubber, wood, leather and

synthetics and elastomers that are resistant to paraffin oil (not polycarbonate, polystyrene

and EPDM).

3. APPLICATIONS

KONTAKT 701, as lubricant and anti-corrosion product, is used for example in the radio- and

electro technology as in the antenna assembly. Screw and clamp connectors are being

sealed and protected by KONTAKT 701. Lubricates slides reliably.

4. DIRECTIONS

 Using the extension tube, KONTAKT 701 as a spray can be dosed accurately. The

aerosol can be used in an up-side-down position (360° valve), so hard to reach parts can

also be treated. Shake can before use.

 KONTAKT 701 when used as a protective coating against corrosion, should be applied in

relative thick layers. Screw and clamp contacts should be given a coating of approx. 1

mm. As a lubricant although, only a thin film is required.

 Many materials, including synthetics, tolerate KONTAKT 701 quite well. For series

production runs however, a compatibility test should always be carried out. With most

elastomers a slight swelling is not critical, provided precise dimentional stability is not

required. KONTAKT 701 is unsuitable for example as a lubricant for polystyrene,

polycarbonate and EPDM rubbers.

 KONTAKT 701 spray contains flammable solvents. Don’t use the product on energised

equipment. Wait until all solvents evaporated before switching on equipment (minimum

15 min.).

 A safety data sheet (MSDS) according to EU directive 91/155/EEC and amendments is

available for all CRC products.
