PPDD9.book Page 1 Thursday, June 19, 2003 10:34 AM Using PaperPort DesktopDelivery PaperPort DesktopDelivery is designed to monitor a specified folder on a networked file server or local drive for incoming faxes and scanned images in TIFF, JPEG, or PDF format. PaperPort DesktopDelivery transfers files from the watched folder into the PaperPort desktop. Files in TIFF format are converted to PDF Image items while JPEG and PDF files retain their original formats.

This dialog box lets you locate and select the folder you want PaperPort DesktopDelivery to monitor: Browse to the network server that contains the folder to be watched; select the folder and click OK. After you identify the directory to be monitored and click OK, the Browse for Folder dialog box closes.
PPDD9.book Page 3 Thursday, June 19, 2003 10:34 AM Interval for checking the Watched Folder list box To set how often the watched folder will be checked, select a setting from the Interval for checking the Watched Folder list box. There are 12 available choices from the list box: 1, 2, 5, 10, or 30 seconds 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes One suggestion is to set the watch interval at about half the time it takes you to walk from the device’s location in your company to your office.

Click the About command. Close Command To close PaperPort DesktopDelivery, right-click the PaperPort DesktopDelivery icon to display its menu. Click the Close command.
