9 Distributing Document Files
Data can be distributed as an attachment to e-mail messages, by sending
it to an FTP server, by sending it to a SharePoint Portal Server, or by
distributing it to a specified folder.
9.1 Attaching Document Files to E-Mail Messages
With PageScope Workware, document files can be attached to e-mail
messages. For details on specifying e-mail transmission settings, refer to
“To register e-mail message settings” on page 4-14
.
§ Drag the document file or binder and drop it onto the icon in the
launcher for the registered e-mail message settings.
The dialog box for sending an e-mail message with your e-mail
application appears.
Note
When a document file is dragged and dropped onto the icon for the e-
mail application, the e-mail application specified as the default starts
up, and a new e-mail message is created with the specified recipients
and text and with the dropped file attached.
If a binder or multiple files are dragged and dropped onto the icon, all
of the relevant files are attached to the e-mail message.
9.2 Sending Files With Launcher Folder Settings
A document file or text file can be sent to a specified folder. The file can
be sent to different folders depending on whether it is a document file, a
text file created from a document file, a thumbnail image of a document
file, or an image (TIFF file) of a document file. For details on specifying
folder settings, refer to
“To register folder settings” on page 4-16
.
§ Drag the document file or group file and drop it onto the icon in the
launcher for the registered folder settings.
The folder is distributed according to the folder settings.
