8.2 FTP Server Function
PageScope Workware can function as an FTP server. With the FTP
server function, data can be received from KONICA MINOLTA
multifunctional products. Data received from the FTP server is imported
into the Scanner folder in Folder area. For details on specifying the FTP
server settings, refer to
““FTP” Tab” on page 4-10
.
The PageScope Workware FTP server function cannot be used if a
different FTP server is installed on the computer, for example, if the
Internet Information Server program package for Windows 2000 includes
an FTP server.
8.3 Importing From a Mail Server
PageScope Workware can be set to periodically check for incoming e-mail
messages. When there is a new e-mail message on the mail server, the
text and the attached file from the received e-mail message are converted
to separate PDF files and imported as a binder into the Email folder in
Folder area. For details on specifying mail server import settings, refer to
““E-mail” Tab” on page 4-31
.
8.4 Importing From a Monitored Folder
PageScope Workware can be set to periodically monitor a specified
folder. When files are added to the specified folder, the specified process
can be performed on the data, and then the file is transferred to the
specified folder.
The settings for importing files from a monitored folder can be specified
from the “Watch folder” tab of the “Setup” dialog box. For more details,
refer to the procedure for specifying settings on the “Watch folder” tab of
the “Setup” dialog box.
Note
Importing files from a monitored folder is only available when
PageScope Workware is started up.
