Effective and versatile copying
and printing
The magicolor 4690MF covers all your printing and
copying needs, helping you produce for example
reports, presentations and business cards quickly
and with ease. High-speed tandem technology
makes it fast, supplying up to 24 pages per minute in
colour and b/w. Equipped with a wealth of standard
features, including a duplex Automatic Document
Feeder and duplexer, 250 sheets paper feeder plus
100 sheet multi-purpose tray, the magicolor 4690MF
is flexible and versatile. Comprehensive connectivity
is ensured with 10-Base-T/100-Base-TX Ethernet and
USB 2.0 ports. Paper processing of up to 210 gsm
lets you create your own stationery, forms and labels;
and with the optional lower paper feeder for an extra
500 sheets even longer print runs are completed
quickly and without hassle.
Fax and scan for efficient
communication
With its ECM/Super G3 capability the magicolor
4690MF is a very efficient fax that lets you send and
receive documents at high speed. Its helpful and
time-saving address book functionality includes
16 one-touch and 220 speed dials. Take advantage
of the convenient PC fax driver and send documents
straight from your PC without printing them first.
With the fax forward-to-email function you can auto-
matically pass on faxes to an email address, enabling
you to read faxes before deciding if you need to print
them. Other convenience features include time-send
and auto-redial, making fax tasks a lot less tedious.
At the same time the magicolor 4690MF is a fast and
versatile scanner that processes up to 24 originals
per minute. Enhanced network scan functions give
you real flexibility and include Scan-to-eMail, -FTP
and -SMB as well as TWAIN and WIA scan, with PDF,
JPEG and TIFF available as file formats. Scan-to-USB
memory offers additional convenience, letting you
store your scans directly on a USB stick. Scanning
is even more straightforward with the standard
Link Magic scan software that facilitates pull scan-
ning directly from your PC – there’s no need to
start another application. Last but not least, the
standard PaperPort 11SE scan software provides a
practical OCR functionality, making the managing
and archiving of documents faster and easier.
Superior quality combined
with economic use
Using Konica Minolta’s Simitri® HD toner, the
magicolor 4690MF produces prints of a consistently
high quality. The ultra-fine carrier particles of this
polymerised toner ensure smoother, more natural
images at both low and high density, with richer
gradations and sharper text. Print quality is excellent
with enhanced resolution of up to 2,400 x 600 dpi
and an attractive matt finish. Edge enhancement
with LineArt provides top results especially for text,
fine lines and drawings.
With the magicolor 4690MF, quality and economic
usage are no contradiction! Auto colour recognition
supports economic printing, only using colour toner
where actually required. And economic copying is
facilitated with two separate start keys for colour
and b/w copies, giving you the instant choice to
copy in colour or not. Highly economic is also the
magicolor 4690MF’s efficient toner save mode,
allowing you to save up to 50% toner, for example
when printing drafts or your own documents.
