General / Access to Key Operator Mode This system has an integrated key operator mode which provides individual adjustment possibilities. The operator mode allows to make quick changes to system settings without the necessity of a service call. It is generally one key operator, who is in charge of this system management. The adjustments, which are available in the key operator mode, cannot be changed by general users.
1. Initial System Settings Menü Grundeinstellung: System There are two initial system settings, which can be adjusted by the key operator. 1.1 Time Use the arrows to move to the required position, and enter date and time according to the 24-hour-clock. In this screen, you can also switch to summertime. 1.2 Language English is the default setting for the display language. In this screen you can adjust the system to another language.
2. Initial Copier Settings There are six initial settings to the copier, which can be adjusted by the key operator. The machine returns to these initial settings under the following conditions: – When the copier is switched on. – After pressing AUTO RESET. – When the electronic key counter is active, i.e. the system has to be accessed with an EKC password. 2.1.
2. Initial Copier Settings 2.3 Magnification Enter the required magnification ratio. The ratio 1.00 means full size copying. The default setting is: Automatic Magnification Selection (AMS). Important! An individual magnification selection for the intitial setting will only be active, if also the APS function is deactivated under 2.4. 2.4 Paper Tray If a specific paper tray should always be active in the initial copier setting, select this tray here.
2. Initial Copier Settings 2.5 Output To give priority to a different tray than tray 1, press the corresponding key (depending on how the finisher* is equipped, two to four trays are displayed). Select one of the output modes for the initial copier setting: GROUP, STAPLE, SORT. As the default setting, none of the output modes is active. If another stapling position from the one displayed in the STAPLE key should have priority, press STAPLE SET and make a selection.
3. Presets This allows to specify two individual user sets for density levels as well as three individual user sets for magnification ratios, all of which are then available as soft keys on the corresponding screens. 3.1 Density User Set Under two user sets, you can program one individual lighter and one individual darker density setting. – Position an original on the platen glass. – Press Userset 1 or Userset 2 to program an individual density setting.
4. Electronic Key Counter (EKC) The electronic key counter (EKC) can be used to limit access to the system to certain departments, users or key accounts. 128 counters are available. A copy limit can be programmed for each key counter. The EKC programming mode can only be accessed with the special 8-digit EKC master code. This code is not displayed. If you have entered a wrong number, press RETURN to return to the key operator main screen; then repeat the access procedure, entering the correct code.

Electronic Key Counter (EKC) 4.1 Allocating EKC Passwords – Use the key pad to enter the number of the counter (000 to 127), for for which you want to allocate a password. – Now, press the Password key. – You can now enter a 5-digit code as a user password. Important! The user code 00000 will not be accepted. – Press the Name key, and enter the name (max 24 digits) of the user, to whom this password is allocated. – Confirm the name with OK. – Under Limit, a max.

Electronic Key Counter (EKC) 4.3 Resetting All Counters This screen serves to reset the counters for all EKC passwords to zero, i.e. to cancel all accumulated copy quantities. – In order to reset all EKC counters, you have to press YES in this screen. Confirm with OK, to leave the screen. 4.4 EKC Mode ON/OFF In this screen you can activate or deactivate the EKC function.
5. Lock / Delete Job Memory This function allows to lock job memory settings, protecting them against overwriting, and to delete job memory settings. – Touch the required job memory. If necessary use the arrows to scroll the screens. – Press the Job Lock key to protect the job memory against being overwritten with new settings. – If you press a place with a padlock symbol, you have cancelled the job lock protection. The settings for this job memory can now be overwritten.
7. Touch Screen Contrast It is possible to adjust the contrast and backlight of the touch screen for optimum visibility in all surroundings. – Select the preferred setting for both options. 8. Key Operator Data In this screen you can note the name and telephone extension of the key operator in charge of the system management. The availability of this information on the help screen ensures quick assistance in case of any problems. – Press Name and use the letter keys to enter the name (max. 20 digits).
9. Weekly Timer The Konica service can activate this time and calendar function in this system. You can then program the timer to switch the unit on and off, corresponding exactly to the working hours in the company. If access to the timer programming function is via the 4-digit timer key code, enter this and press OK. The programming of the timer function is self-explanatory; detailed user instructions in each screen inform you exactly about the necessary operation steps.

Touch Screen Adjustment If the touch screen reaction to pressing soft keys appears to be incorrect or out of focus, the following adjustment should be performed: 1.Call up this function, and follow the instructions on the screen, as shown on the left. 2.Check if the X/Y coordinates indicated in the message area are within the limits of the range indicated underneath. If this is not so, contact the Konica service. 3.You leave the adjustment mode by pressing START. 11.
12. Memory Switch Under this function, various adjustment features are provided, which will influence the system functionality. Use the arrows at the bottom to call up screens 2 and 3 and the arrows on the right to scroll through the feature list. Refer to the table below, listing all adjustment possibilities (default settings are underlined). When you have marked the required feature, press EDIT repeatedly, until the required setting is displayed.

List Print In this function you can print the following data /information: Job Memory List: Programmed settings of all copy jobs User Setting List: Information about all settings made in the key operator mode. This also includes all EKC counters with registered copy quantities and allocated copy limits. Font Pattern: Font patterns used in the system 14. Application Customize The Application screen can be individually configured, with function keys rearranged or completely deactivated as required.

Density Adjustment The 9 manual denity settings can be individually adjusted to a lighter or darker scale: Density shift 0 Density shift 1 Density shift 2 Density shift 3 Density shift 4 Density shift 5 Density Shift 0 to 5; 3 is standard and the default setting. – Press the key for the mode, which you want to adjust. – Now enter the desired value tor the density shift from 0 (dark) to 5 (light), using the numeric keypad; the default setting 3 is the standard.
