4. Turn the engine switch (Red) to “7” (ON).

5. Pull the choke knob fully out.

TIP

The choke is not required to start a warm engine.

Push the choke knob in to the original position.

6. Pull the recoil starter slowly until it is engaged,

then pull it briskly.

WA R N I N G

Be careful to use the recoil starter. In rare cases,

the recoil starter handle can be drawn back quick-

ly by the engine kickback.

TIP

Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the gener-

ator from falling over when pulling the recoil starter.
