Configuring a Scan Source - Quick Start Method
There are a number of ways to create and configure sources with the Scanner
Configuration Utility. For most VRS users, the procedure in this section will provide
the easiest approach to configuring a scan source. If you need to configure a custom
source for a scanner that is not certified or compatible with VRS, refer to Configuring a
Scan Source - Custom Method on page 87. If you need additional information, please
click Help from the utility.
X To configure a scan source
1 From the Start menu, navigate to the Kofax VRS program folder and select the
Scanner Configuration Utility. The Scanner Configuration Utility dialog box
will display (Figure A-1).

2 Expand the Scanners node to locate the name of your scanner manufacturer.
3 Expand the manufacturer node to locate and select the name of your scanner
model (Figure A-2).
