2 Open rs.connector.exchange2k3.properties in a text editor. Modify the following
properties, and then save and close the file:
conf.exchange.domain
conf.exchange.server
3 Stop and restart Kofax Front-Office Server.
Configuring Kofax Capture Destination Files
The Kofax Capture connector is preinstalled with Kofax Front-Office Server. You need to edit the
properties file to establish the connection with the Kofax Capture system.
Before you begin, make sure that you have installed, licensed, and configured Kofax Capture and
Kofax Capture Import Connector - Web Services. Create form types in Kofax Capture to be used
as destinations for releasing documents. Also, make sure you have created user profiles as needed
and assigned the appropriate batch classes and modules.
X To configure and enable Kofax Capture as a destination
1 Locate rs.connector.kofaxcapture.properties in the \Avalin\jboss\server\avalin\conf
folder where Kofax Front-Office Server is installed.
2 Open rs.connector.kofaxcapture.properties in a text editor. Modify the properties
following the instructions in the comments, and then save and close the file.
Tip The kcic.ws.hosts property in rs.connector.kofaxcapture.properties is also used for
load-balancing multiple instances of Kofax Capture Import Connector - Web Services
servers. Read the comments for kcic.ws.hosts for instructions.
3 Use the Administration Console to enable the Kofax Capture destination type, and to
associate the newly available Kofax Capture module to the desired roles. Refer to the
Kofax Front-Office Server Administration Console Help for instructions.
Kofax Capture form types should display as destinations in the Web Client and the
Administration Console. To display these Kofax Capture destinations on the MFP front panel,
create and deploy shortcuts with the Web Client and the Administration Console. Refer to the
Help for these applications for information.
Taking Advantage of Kofax Front-Office Server 2.7 Features
The features described in this section are available only when you meet the additional Kofax
Capture system requirements provided in Additional Requirements for Kofax Capture 2.7 Features
on
page 6. The features are not available for earlier versions of Kofax Capture.
Information Updates to Kofax Capture
In Kofax Capture, you can view and/or use information about scan jobs that are processed by
Kofax Front-Office Server. These scan jobs are for documents that are scanned from an MFP or
exported from the Web Client to Kofax Capture.
