Apple cake

Ingredients:
150 g butter/margarine
150 g sugar
4 eggs
1 packet of vanilla sugar
250 g flour
5 g baking powder
2 apples
Tableware:
Preparation:
1. Mix the butter, sugar and eggs together to form a frothy
mixture. Sift the flour mixed with baking powder over the
frothy mixture and quickly fold in.
2. Line the baking tray with non-stick baking paper and pour
in the dough.
3. Peel the apples, cut into the top side and press into the
dough in star shapes.
} 180 - 190 °C 55 - 60 mins or
} 180 °C in microwave on medium setting for 30 - 35 mins.
4. After baking, leave to set in the switched-o appliance
for 5 - 10 mins.

Orange rolls

Ingredients:
20 g fresh yeast
2 tsps. sugar
125 ml milk
Juice of one orange
250 g wholemeal flour
1 egg
30 g butter
50 g raisins
50 g ground nuts
50 g dried apricots
1/2 tsp. salt
Tableware:
Preparation:
1. Add the yeast, sugar, warm milk and orange juice into a
mixing bowl and pour over the flour. Add the egg, butter,
raisins, nuts, chopped apricot pieces and salt and knead until
the dough no longer sticks to the edge of the bowl. Cover
and leave for approx. 30 mins.
2. Knead the dough, form into a roll and divide into 10 equal-
sized pieces. With floured hands, form the pieces into round
rolls and place onto non-stick baking paper, sprinkle with
water and leave to set.
3. Bake in a preheated oven.
} 170 - 180 °C 25 - 30 mins.
