TAKING
THE
PICTURE.
Having
the
Kodet
and
lamp
both
in
po.
ition,
light
the
lamp
and
pre
the
bulb
to
make
sure
that
the
flame
'can
be
driven
to
the
center
of
the
tray.
Then
lay
the
uulb
down
(to
prevent
accident)
and
pour
upon
the
tray
in
front
of
the
flame
an
even
teaspoonful
of
the
powder
that
accompanies
the
lamp;
then
uncap
the
camera,
stand
at
arm'
length
and
pre
s
the
bulb.
There
will
be
a
bright
fla
h
which
will
in
tantly
impre~s
the
picture
on
the
ensiti\'e
film.
Then
cap
the
camera
and
turn
a
fre
h film
into
place
or
change
plates.
NOTE:
The
amount
of
powder
required
to
light
a room
varies
with
the
dIstance
of
the
object
farthest
from
the
camera,
and
the
color of
the
walls
and
hanging.

hen
more
than
one
tea-
spoonful
is
to
be
used,
all
the
powder
should
be
poured
in
one
pile
on
the
tray.
