DEVELOPI NG DRY PLATES.
The foregoing directions a pply to dry plate s as well as
films, the chemical treatment being the same , exce pt th at the
preliminary wetting, and the soaking in glycerine may be
omitted with pl ates.
Plates, however, mu st be handled in the solutions one at a
time as they would sc r atch each other if a lar ge r number were
put into the trays s imult aneo usly. It need s no suggestion that
pl a tes s hould be stood on edge to dry, not Rinn ed up by the
c orners.
