REMOVI NG THE FILM.
No dark room is required in changing the spools in Cart-
ridge Roll ~ Holder. The operation s hould, however, be per-
form ed in a subdued light.
I. When the l ast film (No. 12) has been exposed, turn the
key until it will turn:no further or about 15 half turns to the left
and remove the roll holder from camera, as before described.
II. Provide an extra spool of NO.4 Horizont al Cartrid ge
Roll Holder (4 in .) Film to fit this roll holder and take a posi-
tion at a table as far:as possible from any window.
III. Open th e Roll Hold er, as before des cribed.

With a knife cut the
black pa per where it is at-
tached to th e now empty
spool, as shown in Fi g. I,
holding the pClper tightly
with the left ha nd in so doing,
that it m a.. not loosen on the
reel and fog the film.
N O TE: In passing from the
spool to the reel the paper is re-
versed, being rolled on the reel in
ex actly the opposite way from
which it is rolled on the original
ca rtrid ge with the re.:;ult that it h as
a tendenc y if left without tens i on Fig. I.

to the left (see Fig . 2)
until the paper is all on
the reel and fasten it se-
curely by mois tening the
gummed e nd and s ticking
