PREPARATION
FOR
THE
FLASH.-Th
e
camera
should
be
pr
epared
for time
expos
ur
e, as directed on

of this
Manual (exce
pt
that

argest
stop
must
be

sed),
and
placed
on
so
me level su
pp
o
rt
where it will t
ake
in
th
e vi
ew
desired.
Pin a
fl
ash sheet by
on
e corner
to
a piece of card-board
which has
pr
eviously been fixed in a p
erpend
icular position.
If
th
e card-boa
rd
is white it will act
as
a re
fl
ec
tor
a
nd
increase
the
st
rength of the picture.
Th
e
fl
ash sheet should a
lways
be placed
tw
o feet behind a
nd
two to
thr
ee feet to one side of the camera.
If
placed in front,
or
on
a line with fr
ont
of
Kod
ak,
the
fl
ash would s
trik
e
th
e
lenses
and
blur
th
e picture.
It
should be pl
aced
at
one
side as
well as behind,
so
as
to
throw
a s
had
ow
an
d give a little re
li
ef
in
th
e
li
ghting.
The
fl
ash should
be
at
the s
ame
heig
ht
or a
little higher
than
the camera.
The
support
up
on which the
flash is
to
be
mad
e should not
pr
oject far enough in fro
nt
of it
to cast a
shadow
in front of the
Kodak.
An
extra
piece of card-
board
