MOUNTING.
Th e most sa ti sfactory me thod for mounting prints is by the

se of Kod ak Dr y Mo unting Ti ssue, as by the u se of this tissue
the print li es perfectly Ra t in ab so lute contact even on the th in-
nest mo
unt and ab so lute ly without curl.

any
impurit es in the mo unt stock.
For multiple mounting a nd folders the ti ssue is idea l.
Th e process of mountin g is as fo llow s:
Lay the print on its f ace a nd tack to the bac k a pi ece of th e
ti ssue of th e sa me size by applying the point of a hot flatiron to
sma
ll spots at o pp osite ends.
Turn the print face up and trim print a nd tissue to the d es ir ed
size. Pl ace pr int in pr oper posi ti on on mount and cover with a
pi
ece of sm oo th paper an d pr ess the whole surf ace with a hot
Ratiron.
Press don't rub.
Th e iron should be just hot enough to siss when touch ed
with the wet fi ng er. If the iron is t oo hot the tissue w ill s ti ck
to the mo
unt and not to the print , if t oo co ld the ti ssue will stick
to the print and not to t
he mount.
Re
me dy: Low er or rai se the te mp erature of th e iron and
apply
aga in.
When mo
unting with p as te lay the wet pr int face dow n on a
sheet of glass and squ
eegee off a ll the surplus water, then bru sh
over the b
ac k with thin tarch paste, lay the print on the mo unt ,
th en cover t he print with a clean pi ece of blo tting p ape r and
pr ess into cont ac t with sq u eegee or ru bbe r print ro ll er.
