ose who mix their own devel ope r in getting the d eve lo ping

In this case t he negative is very s tr ong a nd inten se by
tr ansmitted li g ht and re quir es a very long time to print . Th e
remedy is to reduce by the u
se of Eas tman R ed ucer or the fo l-
lowing method :

First soa k negative 20 minut es in water, then immer se in :
Water,
H ypos ulphite of Soda, - - - - - -
Fe rr i-Cyani de Potassi um (saturated so l ut ion) -

ning water or in fo ur chan ges of wate r.
Nega tives may be r ed uced loca ll y by apply in g the abo ve
so lution to the de n e pa rt s with a c am el's hair brush, rins in g off
the reducer with cl ear water occasiona ll y to pr eve nt its running
on to the parts of the negative that
do not req uire reducing.

and l ac king in de tail. If the devel op ment is carri ed on as
