Pa ss the fi lm face down ( the face in the dull si de ) thr ough
the fixing solution,
holding one end in eac h hand. Do this
thr ee or four times a nd t hen place on e e nd of the film in the
tray still face down a nd lower the s trip into the so lution in
fo lds. ( If the ne ga tives h ave b ee n c ut apa rt i mm er se t hem
si ngly.) Ge ntly pre ss the fi lm where the fol ds occ ur, not
tightly e
nou gh to cr ac k it, down into the so lution a few times
during the co ur se of fi xing. This ins ur es the fixing so lution
rea c hin~ every pa rt of the fi lm. A ll ow the film to remain in the
so lution two or thr ee minutes af ter it h as cleared or the milky
a
pp earance ha s di sa pp ea r ed. Th en r emove for washing.

up e ri or to the Kodak Acid Fixing Bath, but the
fo llowing formula may be u se d if desired :
Water.
H y po s ulphite of Soda.
Sulphite of So da (de si cca ted ).

4 ounces.
U ounce.
