Spots, Streaks, Etc.
Air
bells
on
the
plate
in
t
he
deve
l
oper
or
fixing
bath,
are
liable
to
cause
spots, and streaks are caused
by
allowing
the plates to remain uncovered in
part
by
the vaTious
solutions
while
in them.
White,
milky
spots
are
evidence
that
the
negative
has
not
been
properly
fixed,
and
the
negative
should
be
put
back
into
the
fixing
bath
and
then
re·washed.
Scratches.
Glass plates must
be
handled in the
various
solutions
one
at
a
ti11l~,
other·
wise
the corners
of
the
glass
are
liable to scratch and destr
oy
the
negatives.
