Place

the

sitter

in

a

chair

partly

facing

the

camera

(which

should

be

height

of

an ordinary table),

and

distance from

the

camera

subject should

be

8 to

10

feet.

The

lamp

sh·ould

on

the

side

of

the

camera

away from the face,

is

sitter should

not

face

placed

higher

than

the

head

of

the

sitter

.

MAKE

A

GROUP.

Arrange the chairs

camera, so

that

each

chair

will be exactly

the

same distance from

the

camera

Half

of

the

persons

composing the group should

be

seated

and

the

rest

should

stand

behind

the chairs.

If

the group is large, any

number

of chairs may

be

used,

but

none

of'

the

subjects should

be

seated

on

the

floor, as sometimes seen
