and
cut
the
exposures
apart
one-fourth
£nch
before
each
perforation.

Fill
one
of
the trays nearly full
of
water,
and
put
into
it
the
exposures,
one
by
one, face
down;
put
them
in edgewise, to avoid
air
bells,
and
immerse
them fully.
Cover
the
tray
with a
bit
of brown paper, to keep
out
the light from the lamp.

Open
one of
the
developer powders
and
put
the
contents
(2
chemicals)
into

the
beaker
and
fill it
up
to
the
ring with water.
Stir
until dissolved with
the wooden
stirring
rod.
Take
one
of
the
exposures
from
the
. water
and
lay
it, face up, in the
second
tray
and
pour
upon
it
the
developer.
Rock
it
back
and
forth
to pre-
vent
streaks
and
air
bubbles;
