Set the lens mount for the corr e ct distanc e.
Sight through the viewfinder and compose the pic ·
ture. Hold the camera close to your eye.
Hold the camera steady ; then press the shutter re -
lease lever all the way down with a slow, squeez ing
action . If the film has not been advanced to the next
frame and the word WIND appears in the viewfinder
or if the film leader has not been wound off full y,
you cannot press the release le ve r.
To advance the film , swing out the rapid wind lever
one full stroke or several short ones until it locks ;
then let the lever return to its original position .
After the 20th or 36th exposure , and before open -
ing the camera, the film must be rewound into the
magazine. See Unloading , page 8.
