Infinity
For maximum sharpness of distant scenery at
any zoom position, use the infinity feature (for
outdoor use only).
1. Press the SELECT BUTTON (23) repeatedly
until “INFINITY” appears on the TEXT-
MESSAGING PANEL (30).
2. Frame your subject within the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE
(14).
3. Partially depress the SHUTTER BUTTON (1),
and when the FLASH/CAMERA-READY
LAMP
(13) glows green, fully depress the
shutter button to take the picture.
Using the Self-timer
You can include yourself in pictures by using
the self-timer feature. The electronic self-timer
will delay the release of the shutter button for
approximately 10 seconds after you press the
shutter button.
1. Place the camera on a tripod (TRIPOD
SOCKET
[24]) or on another firm support,
and press the ENTER BUTTON (22). Wait for
the TEXT-MESSAGING PANEL (30) to display
“SELFTIMER READY .”
2. Frame your picture in the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE
(14).
3. Press the SHUTTER BUTTON (1). The SELF-
TIMER LAMP (7) on the front of the camera
will blink during the self-timer countdown.
• To cancel the self-timer selection before
the shutter releases, press the enter
button or close the flash.
• The self-timer automatically turns off after
the shutter releases.
