Picture orientation is not
accurate
■ Set the Orientation Sensor to ON (page 47).
Flash does not fire
■ Check if external flash is designated in Setup (page 48).
■ Check the flash setting and change as needed (page 36).
Storage location is almost
or entirely full
■ Transfer pictures to the computer (page 19).
■ Delete pictures from the card or insert a new one (page 17).
■ Change image storage location to internal memory
(page 46).
You cannot take a picture
■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Depress shutter button all the way (page 5).
■ Insert a charged battery (page 2).
■ Memory full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page 19),
delete pictures from the camera (page 17) or card, change
image storage location, or insert a new card.
Error message appears on
EVF/LCD screen
■ Follow action recommended on screen.
■ Note error number, if given; then turn the camera off then
back on.
■ Remove the battery and wipe the contacts with a clean, dry
cloth (page 87), then reinstall it.
■ Remove memory card from the camera.
■ Wait for any blinking lights to stop; then turn the camera off
then back on.
■ If all else fails, get customer support help (see page 74).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card.
■ Card may be corrupted. Format card in camera (see page 4).
Data will be erased if formatted.
■ Use another memory card.
