Doing more with your camera
Mode Description
Display the mode descriptions.
(SCN mode descriptions remain active.)
On (default)
Off
Accessory Lens
Ensure proper AF accessory lens use.
On
Off (default)
Date & Time
Set the date and time.
See page 3.
Video Out
Choose the regional setting that lets you
connect the camera to a television or other
external device.
NTSC (default)—used in North
America and Japan; most common
format.
PAL—used in Europe and China.
External Flash
Choose an external flash setting.
External flash only
Camera and Ext. flash (default)
EVF/LCD Stand By
Select when you would like the EVF/LCD
screen to time out.
15 or 30 seconds
1 minute (default)
2 minutes
Auto Power Off
Select when you would like the camera
to turn off.
3 minutes (default)
5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes
Language
Choose a language.

Reset Camera
Reset all picture-taking settings to the
camera defaults.
Reset
Auto, SCN, and PASM mode
to its default setting. Settings for C
modes are retained.
