Auto Mode
The hood has advanced built-in temperature sensors. When the sensor detects by ~7°F degrees**
of temperature differential between the hood and the surrounding environment, the fan and lights on
the hood will turn on automatically.
The hood has 3 speeds - QuietMode™ (Q), Low (L), and High (H). The speed will automatically
adjust to the higher and lower speeds depending on ~7°F degrees** of temperature differential
between the hood and the surrounding environment.
Auto Mode is always enabled on this unit. You can still manually control functions such as speed,
light, and delay shut-off. However, if the hood detects any lingering heat even after the range has
been turned off, the Auto Mode function will turn the hood back on even if you manually shut off the
fan and lights, so that it can continue to refresh the air quality.
Automatic Delay Shut-Off
When your hood is on and the temperature of the hood equals the surrounding room temperature,
the hood will automatically activate the delay shut-off and the fan speed will go into QuietMode (lowest
speed).
The fan and the lights will automatically shut-off after 3 minutes.
Once the delay shut-off has been activated, the D and ON lights will both be on and you will hear a
single audible beep. While the 3-minute countdown is running, the speed level can still be adjusted
by pressing the fan speed button.
To override the Automatic Delay Shut-Off, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, which will
turn off the hood immediately.
