4b. To replace the spool:

a. Replace the spool (M) with a new pre-wound

spool (not included) or a re-wound spool.

b. Insert the ends of the line through the line

openings in the spool housing.

c. Align the tabs on the spool cover (L) with the slots

in the spool housing (O) on the trimmer head.

d. Push down on the spool cover (L), locking it to the

spool housing (O).

e. To advance the line when initially installed, pull the

line while pressing the line release button on the

side of the spool housing (O).

4c. To

the spool:

a. Cut a length of 0.065 in. (1.65 mm) nylon

b. Insert end of line into the small hole to anchor

the line.

so it does not unwind. Repeat for the remaining

spool section.

d. Do not wind the line beyond the edge of

the spool (M).

4. Cutting line

on the grass trimmer/edger. When the cutting line

needs replacing, insert a new spool (not included)

or rewind new line onto existing spool.

CAUTION: To avoid injury, always remove

the battery before installing the guard, changing a

cutting line, or making any adjustments.

4a. To remove the spool:

a. Remove the battery from the trimmer.

b. Turn the string trimmer/edger over to access the

spool.

c. Remove the spool cover (L) by pressing on two

tabs parallel to each other on the side of the

spool cover (L).

d. Remove the spool (M) from the spool

housing (O).
