Sheet 4 of 17 Sheet 4 of 17 05-30-2006 1. Overview The AICM 1:1 Interface Program is designed to manage each AICM (Air Interface Control Monitoring) through a RS-232C interface. AICMs are located at BTS inside and they can control and monitor the status of antennas. A user can input the Antenna information, AICM IP Address, Gateway, Subnet Mask and NMS Server IP Address into each AICM through RS-232C communication. Figure 1-1 shows a communication block diagram.

There are 4 different types of antenna (Tilting#1, Tilting#2, Steering, and Width). The type and the model are defined in Table 1. A related antenna control button will be activated. Ant. Install LED: A blue LED turns on when an antenna was installed at each sector. If not installed, the LED turns off.

An Antenna pattern data selection When the user points to the Set Pattern Data menu of Figure 8-1, and a dialog box appears (Figure 8-2). The user can select a pattern information file that is matched to each antenna. There are pattern files for EDTA, Hybrid 2Way, 3 Column and Hybrid 3Way up to now. The Set Control Data menu of Figure 8-1 is not necessary for the installation.

A Download menu The user points to a binary file (Refer to Figure 9-2) by clicking a “...” button on the right side of Fig 9-2. And a selected file name appears in a downloader (Figure 9-2). A downloading starts by clicking the Download button. The progress rate is displayed in a Download Progress Status column during a download.
