4. Guide the open end of the recoil spring
along with the guide rod into the slide and
seat the head of the rod against the barrel
cam lug.
5. Place the slide assembly on to the
frame rails.
NOTE
The ejector must be depressed just enough
to clear the slides rearward path. You may
do this by pushing it gently downward, just
below the slide surface and guide the slide
over the ejector.
6. Move slide rearward until the barrel lug
aligns with the slide stop hole.
7. Place the slide stop into the hole and
align with the notch. Catch the slide stop
retaining spring and press inward until
fully seated.
8. Verify that the slide moves freely and
returns to battery position. Check all
functionality of the fi rearm any time
cleaning or maintenance is performed. See
pages 68-72 regarding maintenance of this
fi rearm.
