User’s Information
Introduction
This kit has been assembled for the purpose of meeting the American Disabilities Act requirements for visual signaling devices for the hearing
impaired. This kit contains one (1) item 41216 Firex AC Smoke Alarm, one (1) model 499 Firex Relay Module (MFRM), and one (1) item 240 177 candela
rated xenon Strobe Light, [two (2) Strobe Lights for item 244].
Installation
The following wiring diagram can be used as a reference when installing this kit by wiring the three units together.
IMPORTANT: Prior to installation, you must thoroughly read and understand each individual component manual.
WARNING: All electrical installation, including wiring, should be performed by a qualified electrician and in accordance with
the requirements of article 760 of the National Electrical Code and any local codes adopted by your community.
