Standard Wall Dimmer Selection Tips:
Pairing fixtures with a standard wall dimmer can help increase the versatility of the
light. It’s helpful to know that dimmers consume some of the power into the fixture,
and some dimmers perform better than others, so a slight decrease in the initial
lumen output (overall brightness) can be expected.
Dimmer switch type* What to expect
Standard triac Will reduce initial lumen output from 94% to 76%
Rotary Will dim 100% to black
Electric low voltage Will create a smaller dim range, typically from 80% to 62%
