● The BACtrack Skyn can still be on when no light is flashing, as long as it flashes periodically. To check
that the BACtrack Skyn is still on, firmly tap the light square on the top, and the light will flash blue again
● When the BACtrack Skyn is charging, the LED light will be green and pulsating
● When the LED is solid green, the BACtrack Skyn is fully charged
Charging the BACtrack Skyn
Turn off the BACtrack Skyn.
To attach the charger to the BACtrack Skyn, open the clip end of the charger, and snap it into
the charging port at the upper end of the BACtrack Skyn.
Next, insert the USB connector into a USB port. When the BACtrack Skyn is connected to the
charger the green light will begin pulsing.
It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge. When it is fully charged, the green light will stop
pulsing and the light remains on.
The BACtrack Skyn should not be worn while it is being charged.
Proper Disposal
The BACtrack Skyn contains a lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable, please do not attempt to remove or
replace the battery. Caution: risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
Precautions for Use
● Avoid using the BACtrack in the presence of substances that contain methyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol,
acetone or any other substances that contain alcohol or similar substances.
● Examples of common substances that may influence test results include, but are not limited to:
medicinal alcohol; household cleaners and disinfectants; lotions; body washes; perfumes; colognes;
breath fresheners; hand sanitizers; or other alcohol-based hygiene products and inhalants.
● Prevent substances such as perfume, alcohol-based cleaners or hand sanitizers from being stored near
the BACtrack AT ALL TIMES.
Cleaning Your BACtrack Skyn
Do not place the device under running water as water can damage the electronics inside the casing.
To clean: apply some soapy water to a paper towel or rag. Gently wipe and clean the BACtrack Skyn with the
cleaning material, then do the same with a rag damp with clean water. Make sure to dry thoroughly after
cleaning. Finally, allow to air dry as long as possible, preferably overnight.
Warranty
The BACtrack Skyn is covered by a one year warranty. If you feel your BACtrack Skyn requires warranty
