5.5.6 System Sengs
Use the Sengs menu to manage administrator and user accounts and congure local directory sengs.
Managing User Accounts
The User Management screen allows you to manage the login password and grant user access rights to DVR sengs.
Only the administrator can authorize and grant access rights to users.
There is only one administrator account and six user accounts. By default, the administrator account’s user name is
“admin” and the password is empty.
To change the administrator password, do the following:
1 On the Main Menu, click SETUP.
2 On the le panel, click SETTING. The User Management screen appears.
3 On UserType, select the account to manage.
4 Set Acve to Enable. This makes the User Name and PasswordAcve elds available for entry.
5 Enter a desired user name on the Username eld.
6 Set PasswordAcve to Enable.
7 Enter the desired password on Password and RePassword.
Note:
• The password must be 6 characters in length.
• The entered text on Password and RePassword must match.

You can modify the administrator user name if desired. To do so, enter the desired name on the User Name eld.
8 Check the boxes on the right to grant the access rights of the funcon.
9 To save, click Apply at the boom of the screen.

• To revert to default sengs, click Default at the boom of the screen.
