! CAUTION Do not clean the air conditioner with water. When the air filter is to be removed, do not touch the metal parts of the unit. It may cause an injury. ! ! Do not put a pet or house plant where it will be exposed to direct air flow. Do not clean unit when power is on as it may cause fire and electric shock, it may cause an injury. This could injure the pet or plant. Operation with windows opened may cause wetting of indoor and soaking of household furniture.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING NOTE The power supply cord with this air conditioner contains a current detection device designed to reduce the risk of fire. Please refer to the section Operation , of Current Device for details. In the event that the power supply cord is damaged, it can not be repaired.It must be replaced with a cord from the Product Manufacturer. , Do not, under any circumstances, cut, remove, or bypass the grounding prong.
NORMAL SOUNDS High Pitched Chatter High efficiency compressors may have a high pitched chatter during the cooling cycle. Vibration Unit may vibrate and make noise because of poor wall or window construction or incorrect installation. Sound of Rushing Air At the front of the unit, you may hear the sound of rushing air being moved by the fan Pinging or Switching Droplets of water hitting condenser during normal operation may cause pinging or switching sounds.

Each time you press the button, a mode is selected in a sequence that goes from Auto, Cool, Dry to Fan. The indicator light besides will be illuminated and remained on once the mode is selected. It indicates the Auto Start program is initiated. Press or hold the Left arrow or Right arrow to change the Auto time by 0.5 hour increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1 hour increments up to 24 hours.

The remote control serves as a remote thermostat allowing for the precise temperature control at its location. FOLLOW ME FEATURE: Auto Auto Cool Low Dry Med Fan High Light flashing To activate the Follow Me feature, point the remote control towards the unit and press the Follow Me button. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Your air conditioner is designed to install in standard double hung windows with opening widths of 23 to 36 inches(584mm to 914mm) (See Fig.1). (330 mm) INTERIOR WALL Fig.1 Mounting Hardware Lower sash must open sufficiently to allow a clear vertical opening of 13 inches (330mm). Side louvers and the rear of the AC must have clear air space to allow enough airflow through the condenser, for heat removal.
Fig.B C: Align the hole in the top rail with those in the top of the unit as shown in Fig.B ,, D: Secure the top rail to the unit with the 3/8 Screws as shown in Fig.C. Fig.C NOTE: For safety reasons, all four(4) screws MUST be securely fastened. HOW TO INSTALL NOTE: Top ,,rail and Sliding Panels at each side are offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of 5/16 (8mm). This is necessary for proper condensed water utilization and drainage.

Slide the top and bottom ends of the frame into the top and bottom ends of the frame into the top and bottom rails of the cabinet. Fig.4. D. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS Before calling for service, review this list. It may save you time and expenditure. This list includes common occurrences that are not the result of defective workmanship or materials in this appliance. Problem Solution Air conditioner does not start Wall plug disconnected. Push plug firmly into wall outlet. House fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse with time delay type or reset circuit breaker. Plug Current Device Tripped. Press the RESET button. Control is OFF.
Problem Water dripping OUTSIDE when unit is cooling. Remote Sensing Deactivating Prematurely (some models) Room too cold Solution Unit removing large quantity of moisture from humid room. This is normal during excessively humid days. Remote control not located within range. Place remote control within 20 feet & 180 , radius of the front of the unit. Remote control signal obstructed. Remove obstruction. Set temperature too low. Increase set temperature.

En las páginas 6 a 8 puede encontrar una descripción detallada de cada botón y sus funciones. La unidad se puede controlar con el panel de control o con el control remoto.

PARA SELECCIONAR EL MODO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO: NOTA: Presione el botón “Mode” [modo] para seleccionar el modo de funcionamiento Auto Auto Low Co o l deseado: “Auto” [automático], “Cool” [frío], “Dry” Med Dr y [seco] y “Fan” [ventilador]. Cada vez que lo Fan Hi g h presione, el modo de funcionamiento cambiará y Mo d e Fan así lo mostrará la respectiva luz del indicador. MODO DE FUNCIÓN AUTOMÁTICA: En modo “AUTO” [AUTOMÁTICO], la velocidad del ventilador no se puede ajustar.
PARA USAR LA FUNCIÓN DEL TEMPORIZADOR (INICIO/APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO): Tem p NOTA: La función “TIMER” [TEMPORIZADOR] iniciará y apagará automáticamente el acondicionador de aire en intervalos establecidos. Tem p Ti m er Ti m er TEMPORIZADOR ENCENDIDO: Presione el botón “TIMER” [TEMPORIZADOR].
PARA USAR LA FUNCIÓN DE DORMIR: Tem p NOTA: En modo “SLEEP“ [DORMIR], el acondicionador de aire realizará lo siguiente: Al presionar el botón “SLEEP“ [DORMIR], el acondicionador de aire aumentará de forma automática la configuración de temperatura seleccionada en 2 ºF (1-2 º) luego de 30 minutos. Luego de 30 minutos adicionales, la configuración de la temperatura aumentará otros 2 ºF (1-2º C). Esta nueva configuración de temperatura se mantendrá 6 horas adicionales.

El circuito de Frío se inicia con una demora automática de 3 minutos si la unidad se apaga y enciende rápidamente.

CÓMO INSTALAR NOTA: El riel superior y los paneles corredizos laterales están diseñados para lograr la inclinación adecuada de la parte posterior (5/16”). Esto es necesario para el drenado correcto del agua condensada. Si por alguna razón no está usando los paneles laterales, debe conservar esta inclinación hacia la parte posterior. 1 Coloque la unidad en el piso, un banco o una mesa. Hay dos paneles para cubrir los lados de la ventana: uno para el derecho y otro para el izquierdo.
2 Sujete con firmeza el aparato de aire acondicionado, coloque con cuidado la unidad en la abertura de la ventana hasta que la parte inferior de la unidad se apoye en el alféizar de la ventana (Fig. 5). Cierre con cuidado la ventana por detrás del riel superior de la unidad. 3 Extienda los paneles laterales hacia el marco de la ventana (Fig. 6). 4 Coloque el fijador entre las extensiones del marco y el alféizar de la ventana tal como se muestra (Fig. 7).
5 Coloque los tornillos de fijación de 1/2” (13 mm) en el sujetador del marco a través de los orificios del marco (Figs. 9/10). 6 Para asegurar el sujetador inferior en su sitio, colóquelo en ángulo recto con un tornillo de ¾” (19 mm) como se muestra (Fig. 11). 7 Corte la espuma selladora e insértela en el espacio entre los fijadores superior e inferior (Fig. 12). Si el AA está bloqueado por una contraventana Agregue madera como se muestra en la Fig.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA Limpieza del filtro de aire El filtro de aire deberá revisarse por lo menos una vez al mes para ver si necesita limpieza. Las partículas atrapadas en el filtro pueden acumularse y ocasionar una acumulación de escarcha en los evaporadores de enfriamiento. • Quite el filtro deslizándolo del lado derecho. • Lave el filtro con detergente lavavajillas líquido y agua tibia. Enjuague completamente el filtro. Sacuda con cuidado el exceso de agua del filtro.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Antes de llamar para solicitar servicio, revise esta lista. Puede ahorrarle tiempo y gastos. Esta lista incluye los casos más comunes que no son resultado de mano de obra o materiales defectuosos en este aparato. Problema El aparato de aire acondicionado no enciende Solución La clavija está desconectada. Coloque firmemente la clavija en el tomacorriente. El fusible está fundido o el interruptor de circuito cortado.
