You'll notice that the USB device will move down into the
Other Devices
section. For other
users, they will notice the USB device's status changes to
Available
.
Tech Note
: Some USB devices may require additional action
PRIOR
to
'disconnecting' your USB device. For example, some USB devices will require you to
drag the device's icon to the trash, stop the USB device's software, etc. If your USB
devices requires such actions when the device is directly connected to the computer,
please do these actions prior to clicking the
DISCONNECT
button in the Keyspan
USB Server software.

Finishing Up and Additional Notes
You have now learned to use your USB device via the Keyspan USB Server.
If you need to connect additional USB devices, note that y
ou can connect up to four supported
USB devices to one Keyspan USB Server. If you need to connect more than four USB devices
you will need to another USB Server. USB hubs are not supported on the USB Server.
Tech Note: Using Multiple USB Servers and
USB Devices
:
You can
view
up to 8 USB Servers
in the Keyspan USB Server software.
If you are using all of the USB ports on your 8 servers,
you will be able view a total of 32
USB devices in the Keyspan USB Server software
however you will only be
able
to have 12 USB devices 'connected'
to your computer.
If you need to use a 13th USB device, 'disconnect' one of your 12 USB device via the
Keyspan:USB Server - User Manual
