7 Update the value in the Interface name on remote host: field,
if necessary, to match the GPIB SICL Interface Name
displayed on the E5810B Welcome page.
8 Select Test connection to verify the connectivity and
configuration of the remote GPIB interface.
Configuring a remote USB interface
1 Launch Agilent Connection Expert from the Start menu or the
Start Screen (Windows 8).
2 Select Add interface on the Agilent Connection Expert toolbar.
3 In the Manually Add an Interface dialog box, select
Remote USB.
4 Select Add to display the Remote USB interface dialog box
as shown in Figure 2- 11.

5 If the E5810B is in the subnet as the PC, select Find
Interfaces... to locate and add the remote USB interface.
