Filters
Shown above are the available pod lter options in Kenmore’s water purication
product line.
F1. ULTRA+3 Hybrid Filter (Included)- Recommended for internal lter slot.
May be replaced by Polishing Filter for increased ow rate (at the cost of
purication quality). The ULTRA+3 hybrid water lter replacement pod utilizes
activated carbon block lter (rst stage) to greatly reduce particles, eliminate
odors and discoloration, and reduce chemicals in your water, while also improving
taste. This is followed by a UF membrane (2nd stage) that removes sub micron
contaminants, like bacteria, colloids, and large organic molecules, down to 0.02
microns.
F2. Particle Filter (Included/Optional Use) - It is only recommended to use this
additional lter (with external lter attachment) if you water source has
unusually high levels of larger contaminants. Use of this lter in such scenarios
may extend your primary (internal) lters lifespan. The Particle water lter
replacement pod utilizes depth lter to greatly reduce contaminants greater than 5
microns in size (i.e. cysts and rust).
