THREADING UPPER MACHINE

Bri.ng bobbin thread up by pulling upper thread. (See illustration). Place threads back under presser foot. SETTING STITCH LENGTH For all types of sewing stitching, the buttonhole (center needle position). Loosen knob and move 4 aligning the red mark other than buttonhole control knob (red dot) stitch length on the side control of the making and must be set lever between lever with the blind at C 0 and desired position; tighten knob. INCREASE When stitching is unsatisfactory TENSION as in figures 2 and 3, adjust the upper thread tension. Lower thread tension quently requires adjustment less fre- than the upper thread tension. When stitch is satisfactory, as in figure 1 and seam is badly puckered, the cause may be tight tensions and both upper adjusted. TURNING A CORNER Stop sewing machine with needle in fabric. Raise presser foot. Turn fabric. Lower presser foot and continue stitching.
