OPERATING MANUAL
7.3 Printer operation and maintenance
The printer is mounted in the front panel of the control
unit to print program parameters and other data. The
printouts remain stable for ve (5) years, and they can be
archived if suitably stored. This printer uses Thermal Paper
P/N SP800692.
7.3.1 Installing paper in the printer
To install paper in the printer, do the following:
1. Open the hinged plastic cover over the paper roll.
2. Remove the empty roll.
3. Replace with a new roll oriented so that the paper
is feeding o the bottom of the roll.
4. Lower the plastic cover until it clicks”.
7.3.2 Cleaning the printer
You can clean the surface of the printer using a soft dry
cloth or a soft cloth with a neutral detergent. Do not clean
using any solvents. Never wet the inside of the printer.
7.4 Updating software
The 150 series controller allows complete software
upgrade via memory stick or thumb‐drive. This software
can be downloaded from the Kemppi datastore as an email
attachment. Please contact Kemppi’s service department
for upgrade information. Please have the serial number
of your unit, the software release number, and the core
version number handy.
7.5 Service Workshop maintenance
Kemppi Service Workshops complete maintenance
according to their Kemppi service agreement.
The major points in the maintenance procedure are listed
as follows:
Cleaning of the machine
Checking and maintenance of the welding tools
Checking of connectors, switches and
potentiometers
Checking of electric connections
Checking of mains cable and plug
Damaged parts or parts in bad condition are
replaced by new ones
Maintenance testing.
Operation and performance values of the
machine are checked, and when necessary
adjusted by means of software and test
equipment.
Software loading
Kemppi Service Workshops can also test and load rmware
and welding software.
