I. White Rice:
a. Place the INNER POT (3) into the BASE UNIT (6). Rotate it both le and right to
ensure it is correctly located. It should come to a stop in both direcons when it is
seated properly.
b. Add the number of cups of rice you require.
c. Fill the INNER POT to the same scale mark as the number of cups of rice you
added, e.g., 2 cups of rice ll to scale mark „2“, 4 cups of rice ll to scale mark „4“.
d. Place the LID (2) on the Sr Cooker
e. Plug the power cord in to the POWER SOCKET (7), then the Sr Cooker into a
wall socket and switch on.
f. The Sr Cooker will „Beep“ once and the „Keep Warm / Cancel“ LED will ash slowly.
g. Press the „Rice“ buon on the USER CONTROL PANEL (8)
h. The Rice LED Indicator will illuminate.
i. Aer 8 seconds the cooking process will begin.
j. The cooking me will vary depending upon the amount of rice that has been
added, (refer to the tables above for guidance).
k. When the rice is cooked the buzzer will „Beep“ 5 mes and the Sr Cooker will
switch to „Keep Warm“ mode. The LED will illuminate connuously whilst the unit
is le powered on.
l. When you are ready to serve the rice turn o and unplug the Cooker allowing it
to cool before cleaning.
IMPORTANT: Use Plasc or Wooden utensils to avoid damage to the non sck
surfaces.
II. Brown Rice
NOTE: The maximum recommended capacity for Brown Rice is six cups.
a. Follow the procedure for cooking white rice but please note that the amount of
water added per cup of rice is dierent and the cooking mes are longer. Refer to
the tables above for guidance.
NOTE: These tables are for guidance only. There are many dierent types of rice
and also many dierent brands of a parcular type. Because of this it is not possi-
ble to precisely advise the quanty of water to cook the rice as you would like it.
Personal preferences also, of course, vary in this area.
Therefore it is recommended that to change the level of soness of your cooked
rice you add or reduce the amount of water that you add by a small amount to
cook the rice exactly as you like it. This has to be by experimentaon, a lile more
water will increase the cooking me and provide soer rice, less water will have
the reverse eect.
