Getting Started

Warning:

The electricity to your heating and cooling system should be

turned off before attempting to install or remove any thermostat.

Failure to do so could result in bodily injury and damage to

equipment. Professional Installation recommended.

Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the KELVIN thermostat as

shown below. KELVIN will run on house current, batteries or

both. It is set at the factory to run on both. See the technical

specifications to determine how to adjust these settings.

Using a combination of house current and batteries your batteries

should last approximately 1 year.

The thermostat will warn you that the batteries are low by making

a beeping sound every 10 minutes. When you hear this, please

replace the batteries as soon as possible to keep KELVIN working

properly. All of your programming will be maintained when the

batteries are changed, however you will have to reprogram the

time (see page 3).
