User manual
The Model 2000 can be configured to accept device-dependent commands of the Fluke
Models 8840A/8842A. The commands to control the Model 2000 with the 8840A/8842A lan
-
guage are provided in Table D-2.
Since the architecture of the Model 2000 differs from that of the 8840A/8842A, some com-
mands are different or cannot be used. Commands such as range, calibration, factory de-
faults, and self-test do not map one-for-one. Also note that the Model 2000 does not have
the speed characteristics of the Models 8840A/8842A. Other commands of the Model 2000
have been added to the 8840A/8842A command set, such as frequency, temperature, and
scanner channels. Refer to the appropriate manual for further details.
CAUTION The 8840A/8842A language is intended to be used only over the IEEE-488
bus. Using front panel controls in conjunction with this language may cause
erratic operation. In this case, results cannot be guaranteed.
