For example;TV,VCR, satellite set-top box, cable set-top box. Press DVD device key to control your KIT100 DVD home theatre. SUBTITLES Changes to the next available subtitle language on the DVD disc SAT SET SLEEP Activates the automatic system turn off timer.
K7190>KIT100 Manual USA 19/4/04 4:11 pm Page 14 system settings Settings menu Press the SETTINGS button when watching video from the KEF Instant Theatre to view the Settings menu, provided the TV’s external AUX input is properly set to view the KEF Instant Theatre’s video output.Within the Settings menu, select a category (Language,Video, Audio, or Ratings) with the left/right navigation cursor keys, and press SELECT to open that category’s menu.

Choose the format that best matches the local video/broadcast environment. NTSC Choose this if all programming is per the NTSC standard. (Default for KEF Instant Theatre systems sold in the USA.) PAL Choose this if all programming is per the PAL standard.
K7190>KIT100 Manual USA 19/4/04 4:12 pm Page 16 Surround Sound Normally, the default of “All purpose” is suitable for all users, but you may choose another setting for surround sound as follows: Off (Stereo) Choose this setting to turn surround sound off. Stereo mode must be selected if you are using the ‘Record/multi room output’ on the rear of the subwoofer to record or drive a separate pair of speakers. Matrix Use this setting to hear some degree of surround sound from mono sources.

Use the navigation cursor keys to highlight the setting you wish to change, then press SELECT to change the setting. Once satisfied with the settings, highlight “OK” and press SELECT once more to save the changes. (Highlight and SELECT “Cancel,” or press SHUFFLE/REPEAT, to discard any changes and exit the SHUFFLE/REPEAT screen.

Dolby Digital consists of up to “5.1” channels – front left, front right, centre, surround left, surround right and an additional channel exclusively reserved for additional deep bass sound effects. (The Low Frequency Effects (LFE) channel containing bass frequencies of up to 120Hz).

(The DVD player must be selected first, by pressing Source key on the remote to select the KEF Instant Theatres disc mode.) Each disc menu will be different but typically allows you to play the disc, choosing different sound and picture formats, and going directly to any point in the film or video. Press DVD MENU again or press EXIT to leave the menu and resume playing.

Seleccione el formato que se adapta mejor al entorno de vídeo local/emisión. NTSC Selecciónelo si toda la programación es en estándar NTSC. (Predeterminado para todos los equipos KEF Instant Theatre comercializados en EE.UU.). PAL Selecciónelo si toda la programación es en estándar PAL.

El modo estéreo se seleccionará si utiliza la salida “Record/Multi room” de la parte posterior del subwoofer para grabar o para colocar un par de altavoces independientes.
