4.2.4.13. Concentration wizard
A Concentration Wizard is available to facilitate the task of
designing a step sequence (or a single step) from a known target
concentration and dose. This tool is accessible both through the flow
evolution toolbar and from the Concentration Wizard option in the
contextual menu of the chart.
The following information must be entered to set up a concentration
step:
Animal weight: the weight (always in Kg) of the subject to/from
which the fluid will be infused / withdrawn.
Flow rate: the expected flow rate to be applied.
Flow rate units: the units of the flow rate. The possible volume units
are ml, ul, nl and pl and the possible time units are sec, min and hr.
Concentration: the concentration of the fluid to be infused /
withdrawn (always in mg/ml).
Number of doses: the amount of doses to be infused / withdrawn.
Dose to apply: the dose to be infused / withdrawn (always in mg/kg).
Lag time: amount of time to wait between each dose infusion /
withdrawal (in time format hh:mm:ss).
Duration: the duration (always in minutes) of the single step to be
inserted. The default value will be 1 min.
