Dear customer, Thank you for purchasing the Katadyn Bottle. We hope that our drinking bottle will make your life a bit more pleasant and will give you many refreshing drinks of good freshwater quality. We understand only too well if you can't wait to try out the bottle straightaway, but we would nevertheless like to ask you to read these instructions first. Knowing a bit about this product will save you time (and nerves). We hope you enjoy reading this brochure.
2) Important! How to get the Katadyn Bottleready for first-time use Before use, new filter elements or elements stored for longer periods of time must first be prepared in a few easy steps: 1. Take the filter off the bottle lid by pulling and twisting in any direction (see outline drawing 1 item 1) 2. Use a twisting motion to pull the Virustat cartridge from the Post Filter (activated carbon filter. see outline drawing 1 item 2).
3) Inserting and dismantling the spare parts Each filter element is sufficient for cleaning about 100 litres of clear water. If used daily, this will last for about 4 to 6 weeks. How to change the Cyst Filter If the water flow gets weaker, you should change the Cyst Filter. 1. Turn the lid clockwise and lift it off together with the filter elements. 2. Using a slight turning motion (see outlinde drawing 1 item 5), pull the Cyst Filter from the Virustat¨ cartridge (any turning direction) 3.
How to change the Post Filter (activated carbon granulate) If you detect a "chemical" taste (iodine) or when changing the Virustat¨ cartridge, the Post Filter should also be changed. 1. 2. 3. 4. Turn the lid clockwise and lift it off together with the filter elements. Twist and pull the complete filter out of the lid (any turning direction) Pull the Post Filter off the end of the Virustat‚ cartridge.
