CHAPTER 13. BACKUP COPYING
AND RESTORATION OF THE
ADMINISTRATION SERVER
DATA
In order to create a backup copy of the Administration Server data:
• create and launch a global task of data backup copying (see section 13.1
on page 181) using the Administration Console
or
• run the klbackup utility on the computer where the Administration Server
is installed with the required set of modifiers from the command line (see
section 13.2 on page 184). This utility is included into the structure of the
installation file of Kaspersky Administration Kit and after the installation of
the Administration Server component is located in the root of the installa-
tion folder.
In order to restore the Administration Server data:
run the klbackup utility on the computer where the Administration Server
is installed with the required set of modifiers from the command line (see
section 13.2 on page 184).
13.1. Backup data copying task
In order to create an Administration Server backup data copying task:
select the Global task node in the console tree, open the shortcut menu
and select the New/Task command or use the analogous item in the Ac-
tion menu. This will launch the task creation wizard (see Chapter 7 on
page 105).
Create a global task (see Chapter 7 on page 105). When creating a task,
specify the following values for the parameters:
