9.4. Automatic update deployment
To make the server push updates across clients immediately after
downloading:
Select the Updates node in the console tree and click Properties on the
shortcut menu or on the Action menu. In the Update Properties dialog
box, that will appear on your screen (Figure 120), check the Deploy anti-
virus database automatically on all clients checkbox.
In accordance with the current properties of the Updates node, the
Administration server will automatically create group tasks for the highest
hierarchical level (for the Groups group) for all KL applications installed on the
logical network clients. These tasks are displayed in the Tasks folder of the
Groups group. You can delete these tasks only if you unselect the Deploy anti-
virus database automatically on all clients checkbox. After the updates are
downloaded from the Internet, the Administration server will run updating tasks
for all clients. You can edit the automatic update task settings in the same
manner as the settings of another updating task (see section 9.2 on page 154).
