A.6. Configuration using cron service
Successful operation of Kaspersky Anti-Spam requires that you run a set of
scripts using the cron service for the mailflt3 user.
To edit the parameters of the scripts use the following command:
# crontab –u mailflt3 –e
Add the following scripts to the list of tasks:
• Script for updating the content filtering database.
Startup command:
/usr/local/ap-mailfilter3/bin/sfupdates -q
Recommended startup frequency: every twenty minutes.
To avoid overloading of updating servers, provide some delay
from the beginning of an hour when specifying the time when the
script should be run. For example
7,27,47 * * * * /usr/local/ap-mailfilter3/bin/sfupdates –q
• Monitoring script.
Startup command:
/usr/local/ap-mailfilter3/control/bin/sfmonitoring –q
